Expanding MRI and CT diagnostic services across Germany

Diagnostic imaging provider Beyond Imaging has officially opened new locations in Kiel and Dresden, further expanding its network to 16 locations across Germany. Both centres feature advanced imaging technology from United Imaging Healthcare, supporting Beyond Imaging's continued expansion of its diagnostic services.

Demand for advanced diagnostic imaging continues to grow
Across Germany, growing demand for diagnostic imaging is putting increasing pressure on existing capacity. For outpatient practices and hospitals, meeting this demand often requires additional investment in imaging technology, specialised personnel and infrastructure. Beyond Imaging addresses this need by expanding diagnostic capacity and helping healthcare providers offer greater access to advanced imaging services. This can help patients access examinations more quickly, including short-notice appointments.

New centre in Kiel
Beyond Imaging's new centre in Kiel uses two systems from United Imaging Healthcare: the uCT960+ CT system and the uMR Ultra 3-Tesla MRI system. It is the first uMR Ultra of its generation to become operational in Germany. Both systems offer high-resolution imaging and AI-powered technologies that support clinical workflows. The spacious design of the uMR Ultra gives more room to patients who experience claustrophobia or need extra space during an examination.

Announcing the opening, Marcus Schmidt, Group CEO of Beyond Imaging, said:"Kiel is an important location for us. The region has a strong healthcare infrastructure while demand for diagnostic imaging continues to increase. With this new centre, we are creating the conditions for close collaboration with our medical partners."

The centre is home to IMPULS – Practice for Diagnostics & Imaging. Its medical team comprises radiologist and neuroradiologist Dr. Monika Huhndorf, radiologist Dr. Patrick Langguth, and Dr. Hatim Seoudy, consultant in internal medicine and cardiology with additional certification in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Dr. Patrick Langguth added:"Modern diagnostic imaging is not only about high-performance equipment. It is also about delivering examinations that are personalised, efficient and as comfortable as possible for patients. The equipment available in Kiel enables high-quality diagnostics and provides us, as physicians, with reliable information to assess even complex clinical questions."

New centre in Dresden
Beyond Imaging has also opened a new diagnostic centre in Dresden, equipped with the uMR Ultra 3-Tesla MRI system from United Imaging Healthcare. The new centre in Dresden was established in collaboration with JMP Medical, bringing together medical expertise and advanced imaging technology.

Beyond Imaging: provider of advanced diagnostic imaging services
Beyond Imaging provides advanced diagnostic imaging services, focusing on private healthcare, preventive medicine, and sports medicine. The company currently operates 16 diagnostic centres across Germany and continues to expand its nationwide network. Through digital workflows, standardised processes and reliable technology, Beyond Imaging provides the foundation for precise diagnoses and efficient clinical operations. Its Imaging as a Service model enables healthcare partners to offer MRI and CT examinations without the need for major capital investment or administrative burden.

Beyond Imaging's ambition is to further strengthen radiology services across Germany. To achieve this, the company combines advanced imaging technology with digitalised workflows and a strong focus on the needs of both healthcare partners and patients. Its strong partnership with regional competitive sports groups helps it. Its partnerships with regional competitive sports organisations support effective diagnosis and early treatment for elite athletes.

Strategic partnership advances healthcare
United Imaging Healthcare works with Beyond Imaging to bring advanced imaging technologies to diagnostic care in Germany, giving healthcare providers and patients access to innovative imaging solutions. Earlier this year, the two organisations announced a strategic partnership with a clear ambition: to expand access to high-end, AI-powered diagnostic imaging across Germany and help shape the future of patient care together.
