Job Duties & Responsibilities

As an MR Research Collaboration Scientist, major responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Managing scientific collaborations at luminary institutions and driving collaborative projects leading to publications, external grant applications, and/or patent applications;

2. Identifying, building, and supporting strong collaborative relationships with key thought leaders in the region;

3. Maintaining clinical and technical expertise – collaborating both with internal development teams and research partners for the development, comprehensive evaluation, and testing of prototypes and new products;

4. Keeping customers and collaboration partners informed and up to date about United Imaging’s technologies;

5. Drafting, negotiating, and managing research contracts with support from legal, regulatory, and compliance;

6. Tracking milestones and deliverables of research projects;

7. Maintaining accurate budget assessments and contributing to internal strategic budget planning;

8. Effectively communicating with United Imaging’s internal colleagues and leadership.

 

Qualification & Requirements

1. M.D. and/or Ph.D. in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with a detailed technical knowledge of MR;

2. A strong clinical and technical background in the field of MR with a proven track record of scientific publications;

3. Proven ability in leading research projects and collaborations;

4. Excellent communication and presentation skills;

5. Professional proficiency in written and spoken English (fluency in Italian and/or Spanish is a plus);

6. Willing and able to travel up to 50% within Europe, including short term international trips.
